THE place to find books by, or about, Angela Thirkell

Looking to buy Angela Thirkell’s books? Members and former members of the Society frequently donate books from their collections, very often when the time comes for them to downsize or when they replace an existing book with a first edition or dust jacketed copy. We make these books available to members, and interested others, at very reasonable prices, and any profits go to fund future Angela Thirkell Society publications. Prices include Royal Mail second class postage, and orders are shipped the same working day.

Angela Thirkell's grandmother, Georgiana Burne-Jones, by kind permission of the National Portrait Gallery

Please bear in mind that all the books are pre-loved; they may contain a previous owner’s name and will have been read multiple times. They will be in used condition and, depending on age (particularly the early and war time hardbacks) a degree of foxing should be expected. They will, however, be sound and complete reading copies.

Hard backed editions were published by Hamish Hamilton, unless otherwise described.

Books are shown in chronological order of publication. If you can’t see the title you’re looking for, or if you would prefer a different shipping method, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us; we’re happy to help. To buy Angela Thirkell books please use the contact form HERE.
