If you’re an Angela Thirkell Society member you might have been watching your doormat for the 2025 ATS Journal. Unfortunately there’s been a delay with our printers – a vital machine has lost its “head” and the new one is taking a while to arrive.
We’re expecting the Journal to be printed by July 31st, and even with our fingers crossed we’re ready to post it to all members as soon as we have it.
This year’s issue has all the usual features – Sightings, Regional Reports, and Society updates from the chairman and editor – plus articles such as “The Education of Mr Parkinson”, Northbridge Rectory, and a review of Angela Thirkell’s introduction to the 1946 edition of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. But that’s not all, of course.
So we’re sorry for the delay, but we’re sure you’ll find it worth the wait.
If you’re not yet a member of the Angela Thirkell Society there’s no better time to join. New members receive a welcome pack of back issues, music tracks “From the Novels”, and access to the members’ library and a range of secondhand titles (at very reasonable prices). We also hold regular regional members’ meetings, with the opportunity to share news and Thirkell views, and the occasional divagation (as you might expect).
