Every month the Alliance of Literary Societies chooses its “Society of the Month”; August 2023 was the turn of the Angela Thirkell Society.

Formed in 1973, the Alliance of Literary Societies is the umbrella organisation for literary societies and groups in the UK, providing support and advice on literary topics, and promoting cooperation between member societies.
